Ok, so i finally decided to set up the Michael Kane blog, or a semi-blog I should say. I wont allow comments just yet, till I get a hang of blogging on a daily basis.

I run a design firm from the heart of Detroit City, heading up award-winning projects for a selection of US and international clients. I have worked extensively in the UK, working as creative director for MTV UK. With over eight years experience of building websites, I can help plan, build and promote a site from scratch, design online and offline branding, optimize existing sites for usability and accessibility, increase search engine rankings and raise traffic levels. Although I run an independent design business, I'm always on the lookout for local/international designers to interact with and pass on projects. I'm located in Michigan - but that doesn't mean that location is an issue. Wherever you live, get that ball rolling. If you think you have what it takes to actually design and code up to standards, get in touch with your prices and availability. It doesn't have to be a formal letter, we are all human! make the email your own, I want to know you as a designer or coder, I don't want to read another email template.
Made on a mac
I am a through and through apple guy, and after converting to a macbook pro back in February 2007, I am now a proud mac owner. Everything seems more fresh on a mac, from the browsers to the colors. The design software I use [Adobe CS3] runs so smooth on my MBP that it feels so alien to go back to a PC to design, ok I'll admit I do have a use for my PC, but still, mac rules. If anyone is considering converting to mac - do it. Its the best thing I have ever done. Visit Apple to check out the latest specs and models.
